Creative Expression in the Office

Very seldom have I worked in an office all day long. Most of the jobs I've held have meant going out into clients homes or working in a school so that I was moving for a lot of my day. That tends to work for me. In my new job (I work for the National MS Society which is GREAT, by the way) I don't get out of the office as much. I still travel some but not every day. I deal with people mostly on the phone. 

I love how little Blue seems to be checking out something over yonder.

That being said, I'm looking at the same bookshelf all day long. No, I'm not staring at the bookshelf all day, I am working hard at many different things but when I look up, there's the bookshelf. I showed you the little birds I was working on in this post. Now I wanted to show you the finished project.

Here they are in all their chick glory.

 I'm happy with my birdies. They make me happy when I take a minute to stop working and look up. I think it's important to surround yourself with things you love, even if you are in an office. Of course, I also have photos of my family on my desk and they give me the greatest joy. But the little birds make me think of summer and sun and their little tweeting and I smile. 

Then I get back to work.
