Marble Magic

If you are a regular reader of my blog, you'll already know that I'm a huge fan of Moda's Marbles fabric. It comes in so many wonderful colors and lots of shades of each color. I've always been able to match anything I've attempted with this fabric. Needless to say, the winner of the big box of fabric will be blessed with some Marbles fabric scraps. Remember the rules:

Comment to any post this week with the following:
1.Tell me what you think you'll do with the fabric...be as specific as you can.
2.Why do you read my blog? If you read only because someone told you about my give-away....that's ok!
3.Name one book you enjoyed reading as a child.
4. What made you smile today
?

1. I think I'll use the fabric to go with some floral yardage I bought a few months ago. I can't find the pattern at the moment, but I believe its out of American Patchwork.
2. I read your blog because you are located in PA and I think I found you from Crazy Mom Quilts, and I enjoy seeing what you are working on!
3. Okay, I'm giving you three books from childhood: Girl of the Limberlost by Gene Stratton Porter, Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery and Jane Eyre.
4. I smiled today when I took the little people shopping and they didn't want to leave the Barnes & Noble. What's better than raising readers?

Hi,
I love the fabrics shown. I make scrappy quilts. I saw your blog listed at quilting gallery.
My favorite books as a child are many but I loved "Island of the Blue Dolphin" and the Little House on the Prairie series. I wanted to be Laura. Jokes told by my kids made me smile today.
my blog is www.mycreativecorner3.spaces.live.com

What will I make with the fabric should I win? A quilt, of course! I'm not sure which one but I have tons of florals and never seem to buy anything to go with, if you know what I mean. Plus, I seem to always buy the same colors and it's neat to see what others buy.

I read your blog because I love reading quilting/sewing blogs. I want to make tabbed curtains like you did...maybe out of a linen type fabric but I'm not sure yet on that because of the wrinkling.

My fav book as a child was Black Beauty by Anna Sewell. I adored that book and read it over and over.

Smile...hmmm...my boss told a funny joke today and I cracked up on that. He's a good guy.

Crossing my fingers!

1.The fabric will be used for hand sewing projects in my English as a Second Language class for Adults.

I create projects for the students to provide them with a communication bridge, combining and sharing skills learned in the past with their newly acquired language skills.

2. I read your blog because I found it today.

3. Book of Grimms Fairy Tales

4. Reading what made other people smile today.

1. The fabric would be used to make Christmas gifts (ahead, for once!) for my family. Definitely some little purses/wristlets, quilt-ish Christmas ornaments, some small kawaii stuffed animals. And I've recently tried quilting, so definitely some quilts!!

2. I read your blog because I find your craftiness inspiring!

3. As a child I LOVED Jack Prelutsky's "The Wild Baby". That little baby kicked some ass. :-)

4. The thought of my little two-year-old niece being dropped off for a date in a few hours made me smile. I've been having a bit of a rough patch lately, but it's impossible to be unhappy around such a bouncy, happy soul. :-)

1.Since much of the fabric is still a surprise, it's hard to say what I would do, but if I won it, I would definitely have to make some stuff to give away, to pay it forward.
2.Just learned about your blog today, but will definitely be adding it to my feedreader
3. If by child, we can include me as a young teenager, I would have to say Ray Bradbury's Dandelion Wine, which also stands the test of time as an adult reader. A wonderful coming-of-age story!
4. one of my dogs, who always slides across the wood floor, because he can't slow down to a walk--of course, I won't be smiling if he bangs into something. hmmmmmmmmmmm, maybe I'll have to make a dog-rug with the fabric
