Enough already

With the wristlets, I mean. I'm really on a roll. These are so much fun to make. I use my wristlet everyday and I really love it. My goal was to make a wristlet for each woman on my side of the family by Thanksgiving. I've done it. Here they are:The above wristlet was made with fabric from Heather Bailey that I've had sitting around for quite some time. This one is for my mom. She likes browns and greens. I lined it with some really lovely brown mottled fabric. It is hard to see in the picture. I made this one with the zipper pull hardware.
This is the brown and cream fabric I used to make my mother-in-laws tote bag. I lined it with some heavy pink cotton. The interlining on all of these wristlets is white flannel. I had been using a heavier denim which was really difficult to turn. The flannel makes the writslet just as sturdy but it is easier to work with and I generally have scraps of it in my stash because I use it to back my quilts. I'm definitely sticking with it as the interlining. This wristlet may be my favorite. I used the left over strip from my mini quilt mistake. I really love both the red wristlets I've made. I'm going to give them to my nieces who are both in college. I found some smaller clasp hardware today when I went to the Fabric Outlet. These work a bit better and cost .25 cheaper. Only $.50 a clasp and $.20 per D ring. The zipper cost me $.35. What a bargain.

Here they all are in their splendor. The browns will go to my two sister-in-laws and the Japanese fabric wristlet is for my youngest niece.
I hope you all have a very happy Thanksgiving. Nathan made the cake for our dinner tomorrow. While he was cooking I asked him what he was thankful for. He told me the first thing he is thankful for is God because without God there wouldn't be anything else. I'm thankful for such wonderful children. What are you thankful for?
